Going Home

June 30, 2016

Everyone at the hospital was so beyond amazing, we almost didn’t want to go home. Ok, I’m lying. Matt spent 48 hours sleeping in his jeans on a window seat. He was pretty ready for his own bed – not that he’ll have a chance to use it much.

Our perfect life

June 14, 2016

“You’re not really mad at me, are you? But I’m just a baby…besides, I’m too cute to be mad at.”

On Sunday, Walter helped prepare us for life with a new baby. By pooping upstairs. Twice. Diarrhea both times. Including a huge mess on the brand new, white shag nursery rug. The door is never open, but we wanted to air the room out a bit before the baby moves in. Poor Matt got to clean up, a process that included a lot of swearing, dog scaring, and heaving the Bissell carpet cleaner off the back deck when it stopped working.

VA Baby Shower

June 1, 2016

My Mother-In-Law, Marsha, and cousin Staci threw me a fantastic baby shower! It was so much fun!

Look at that cake Marsha found! It matches the nursery theme of woodland perfectly!

Not only did we get a real smile out of Elijah, he stayed for most of the shower and even played the games with us. If the new baby turns out anything like my step-son, I will be one happy mommy.

Everyone has been so generous throughout this pregnancy. Little Baby Six is going to be the most stylish, well equipped baby ever. And with that Kate Spade diaper bag that Staci and Cathi found me, so will his mommy!

Grandma and Betty drove all the way from Florida to come to the shower – it was so wonderful to see them! And cousin Dave drove down from D.C. – it was like a Bidwell family reunion.
